data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Sentinel follows a liability-driven investment strategy and performs an asset liability modelling (ALM) exercise at least every 18 months in support of its goal of providing with profit sustainable guaranteed pensions that target minimum annual increases at 80% of CPI.<\/p><p>Although the Fund targets 80% of CPI as at 30 June every year as a minimum pension increase, this increase percentage cannot be guaranteed as the overarching responsibility of the Fund is to ensure that the pensioner reserve remains sustainable and solvent over the longer term and that pensions can indeed be paid for the life of the pensioner and, if applicable, the surviving spouse thereafter.<\/p><p>The Fund may also award an annual discretionary bonus payment to pensioners should the funding level of the pensioner reserve allow for this.<\/p><p>Pensioners who elect a Flexible Pension (living annuity type pension), do not receive annual pension increases or any discretionary bonus payments on the value of their Flexible Pensions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-61bc90c elementor-invisible elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\"
